We’ve Joined the Independent Media Agencies of Australia
Leonards Advertising, one of Australia’s most enduring media agencies, recently joined the newly formed Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA).
A national not-for-profit organisation which was established in February, IMAA has widespread support from publishers including television, radio, print and digital.
Leonards is one of nine agencies to have recently joined the organisation whose sole aim is to act as the industry’s body which promotes the value of dealing with 100% Australian-owned advertising businesses rather than multi-nationals.
For us as an agency this will help to amplify our offerings, be amongst industry leaders and be more equipped to handle our client’s advertising and media needs.
Leonards’ CEO Kate Faithorn says there has never been a better time to join an association of independent media agencies. Kate was quoted in Wednesday’s Mumbrella and AdNews.
“By banding together through the IMAA, indies are able to have a collective voice, shared intelligence and maintain a vital position in servicing Australian businesses in an age of multinational holding companies and dramatic media ownership changes,” Faithorn says.
The membership includes a formalised network of industry leaders, a code of conduct, staff training, pitch support, IMAA certification and membership of the world’s largest independent agency network, thenetworkone. We can’t wait to be able to pass on our learnings and expertise to clients.
