What a Great Conference in Port!
The decision to broaden this year’s LGNSW Conference to include both Destination and the wider Visitor Economy proved to be an outstanding success.
Congratulations to the LGNSW Events Team on developing a program and line-up of speakers delivering real insights and practical experiences on so many related economic development and tourism topics.
The conference venue at Sails Port Macquarie with its stunning waterfront location was also a winning choice. On the note of winning, make sure you scroll down to see if you have won a media research report for your local government organisation below.
Lastly, thanks to everyone who stopped by the Leonards Advertising stand. We had some great conversations over the conference and encourage anyone with further questions or campaign needs to follow-up with us directly for a casual chat.
Future Directions Economic Stream
I had the privilege of facilitating the “The Future Directions in Economic Development” stream at this year’s conference. It certainly lived up to expectations showcasing the fantastic opportunities available to Councils and affiliated partnerships in a fast-becoming POST Covid World. I encourage you to review the video presentations when they are posted on the LGNSW website – they are rich with constructive ideas. A big thank you to Beau, Jacqueline, Kristal, Greg and resident futurist Craig. Also, special thanks to our AV guy (I’d hate that job!) and Jodie from LGNSW for such great support.

$5000 Media Report Winner
Drum roll please…the winner of the $5,000 Media Research Report is…
Mr Andy Turner, Manager –
Economy, Tourism & Place for Blue Mountains City Council.
Congratulations Andy! One of our team will be in touch in the coming week to discuss the preferred subject/audience for your bespoke media research report.
And in case you are wondering what happened to the bottle of Tattinger Champagne in the business card draw, congratulations Carolyn Childs from MyTravelResearch.com! We will be in touch to organise a time to give you the bottle.
Complimentary Helix Persona Mapping
Although we could only have one winner for the media research report, Leonards is offering all Councils a complimentary mapping of your LGA using Roy Morgan’s Helix Persona live mapping technology. This short, easy to understand report will give you a window into the composition of residents drawing on demographic, attitudinal, lifestyle, purchasing and media consumption data.
