Environmental Sustainability Statement 

Leonards is willing to offset the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the provision of this service.

Leonards is willing to provide an environmental performance data to Council if requested. For example, carbon emissions, carbon offsets purchased energy usage, water consumption, waste generation and data on other material environmental impacts.

Leonards only use recycled paper internally for printing and photocopying. Leonards has a policy of always recommending recycled papers in the printing of client publications. When obtaining print quotes, we default to supplying quotes based on recycled papers, unless otherwise directed by the client. 

Further to this, each member of staff personally contributes to the daily recycling and reduction of waste. Leonards aims to divert 20% or more of all waste to recycling and have an easy process in place for staff to follow, which includes individual recycling bins for each staff member.

Social Sustainability Statement

Leonards contributes at least 5% of our pre-tax profits to not-for-profits and community organisations including plant conservation projects for the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, supporting regional communities through Gold Sponsorship of the Accommodation Association of Australia, Cancer Council and the Salvation Army.

Proposed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement

When recruiting for positions within Leonards, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply. Leonards head office, only recently, used to be based in Darlington/Redfern with a large local Aboriginal community. When advertising positions, job ads are regularly placed in the Koori Mail. Although no Aboriginal staff are currently employed, this is by chance as we have had Aboriginal team members in the past.  

Leonards would be delighted to appoint Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders as part of the team delivering of Media and Advertising Services to suppliers of Avetta. Likely roles would include integrated media planner and programmatic media executive. Our agency has graduate recruitment programs as an entry point and are proactive in seeking suitably qualified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders. Employment dates would be in line with both the contract as well as the respective staffing needs of both agencies at the time.

Leonards would engage and work with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders on a subcontractor or supplier basis both for this contract and in general.

Economic Sustainability

Leonards is 100% Australian-owned and committed to generating local employment through procurement and recruitment. With offices in Sydney and Melbourne CBDs however if appointed to work in another state, Leonards will take the opportunity to establish a permanent Brisbane office. Leonards already have a significant number of Queensland clients with team members regularly traveling between states.
