The Challenge

In June 2018, Budget Motel Chain contacted Leonards in anticipation of the No Vacancy Expo to be held the following month in July. The largest accommodation industry conference in Australia, No Vacancy was an opportunity to connect with hundreds of potential new members and preferred suppliers. There was just one problem. Having never attended the expo before, Budget Motel Chain not only needed a complete stand look created, but also the latest in marketing communications to help tell their story. All within four weeks!

The Solution

Leonards designed a complete conference stand kit with pull-up banners, uniforms and a range of printed product flyers. Leonards also created a 30 second animated video to explain the benefits of UseROSS – an industry booking management tool developed by Budget and a unique selling point in comparison to other chains. The animated video played on reel at the conference as well as being distributed across Budget’s social media platforms. In addition, a four-page brochure showcasing the values, benefits and services of the Budget Motel Chain was created.

The Results

With a strong and stylish stand reflecting the Budget brand and the 30-second animated video ready for the big screen, Budget Motel Chain enjoyed success beyond their wildest dreams. Budget walked away with over 70 firm new business leads (only 10 members had been recruited in the previous 12 months) and an enormous spike in website visitation. Budget Motels was glad that they did not sleep on the opportunity to work with Leonards!
